There is a shame that does not go away.

The shame of being taunted and teased for my disability, of being poor.

The shame of being abused, and holding those secrets in my heart.

Hagar found me and protected me. But it's still complicated. The court case. School (it's always been hard for me). My family.

Sometimes I have just wanted to escape.

But my counselor believes in me. And that helps me believe too.  That I can find my dream.

-Though Neth suffered the deep trauma of abuse and exploitation, his story isn't over yet. With Hagar's support, Neth is studying to become a mechanic. He is becoming independent.
