MICAELA CRONIN APPOINTED HAGAR INTERNATIONAL CEO

The Board of Hagar International Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Micaela Cronin as Chief Executive Officer, Hagar International.

Micaela has worked in the community sector for more than 25 years and become a recognised leader at state and national level in Australia.

She has been CEO of McKillop Family Services since October 2009, a Catholic community agency that provides services to over 5,000 people across three Australian states. Across the last six years she has introduced pioneering program models in the Australian context. She was President of the Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS) from 2007, and until recently, also the Australian Council of Social Services (ACOSS). She currently serves on the Board for Catholic Social Services Australia (CSSA).

In 2014, in acknowledgement of her significant contribution, she was awarded the Robin Clark Memorial Award for service and leadership in the children, youth and family services sector.

Micaela holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Community Development and a Master of Business Administration.

The Board welcomes an experienced, professional CEO who will continue to lead Hagar’s mission of providing holistic, trauma-informed service to clients, women and children in particular, who are survivors of severe human rights abuse.

Micaela will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and will take up her role on the 4th April 2016.
